moved to london
got an MSc in psychology
turned photography & blogging into a career
did my first fashion weeks in london, paris and berlin
shot my first published fashion editorials for H magazine and under the influence (including a cover on the latter)
had my blog recommended by the ny times
signed with GLAM
got my own club night
worked for noteworthy publications such as vice, qvest, nerve.com, nylon, the sunday times and others
i look forward to what 27 holds. if you're around, follow me.

thank god fashion week is over, i will do my best to recover fully until march 4th, when paris fashion week starts. i'll leave you with these 3 nice boys who are all totally different from one another but were in one way or another involved with LFW. sorry i didn't photograph more girls. i guess i didnt feel like there was much there worth documenting.

glamcanyon!
last night's glamcanyon at the last days of decadence was, hands down, the best party we've had to date. thanks to our amazing dj's todd hart, sexus nexus and fame fame fame only the finest music was pumping and everyone had a blast. unfortunately the misshapes had various difficulties on the night (including a hospital visit) so couldn't make it but they send their apologies.
i really want to thank everyone for coming out, as usual y'all stunned me with our fabulousness. which is why i'm devastated that i accidently deleted about 100 photos of the night featuring some of the best outfits. boohooo!

london fashion week: day 5 - henry holland
having to prepare for last night's glamcanyon party i didnt have time to go to a lot of shows but i would not have wanted to miss henry holland. one of london's most lusted after hotties is also one of its most talented designers. when he showed his new collection yesterday the room was filled with young celebs and fashionistas who all cheered when super model and holland's best bud agyness opened the show. this was probably the first time this fashion week i felt like people were actually having fun (a much needed refreshment). and how could they not with a collection inspired by dulux paint cards!
hanging out to see the show: kanye west, cory kennedy, peaches & pixie geldorf, erin o connor and a whole bunch of others....

jethro cave (below left) is my new favorite guy model.

london fashion week: day 4
day 4 started with a plan to take things slow. do some shopping, no rushing, just do shows i'm in the neighborhood of anyway. so on my way to topshop i decided to take a quick peak into Roksanda Illincic whose collection last season i liked a lot. best thing about the show were the goody bags with a retro barbie from the 50's. you can't mess with barbie. she's boss.

several hours at topshop and 2 new pairs of shoes later i decided to pop into the Issa show where the models had really great hair and make up. very reminicent of barbie here as well. alice dellal and jourdan dunn were doing the show.

...right after Issa I was invited to check out the show by 2 designers: Rachel Freire, Rozalb de Mura from backstage. good fun this....

...than a quick drink at the reception after the show. oh, hi gok wan!

...mahret and i hit a cab to take us to the british fashion council party which was nice. attitude-free and refreshing for that.

london fashion week :day 3
day 3 started at 10am (very proud) so i used the morning to blog and work on photos. when i was finally done i dressed for the night (it was 2pm then) as i didnt plan on coming home before midnight and several parties were lined up for sunday night. first stop: meeting Mahret at vauxhall fashion scout for free cookies and coffee pampering in the media lounge before going to see young design talent Louise Amstrup....
click on any photo to see it large

...said goodbye to Mahret and rushed over to the main tent for Jaeger London show. Snatched up a front row seat (because no one told me not to), got my picture taken by confused photographers who thought i was someone as i was seated next to someone who was a real someone. sorry pals. show was nice i thought. although no goody bags - bummer.

...on to the Burnlingon Arcade where PPQ were scheduled to show. models included curvylicious daisy lowe, peaches geldorf and alice dellal - the usual yellow press stars. collection was colorful and good fun. goody bags contained hair products and sherry. we left ours there.

PPQ finished at about 9ish - perfect timing to go straight to the first parties as we wanted to attend at least 3 of the 8 or 9 bashes going on last night. first stop: jalouse for the christopher kane/10 magazine party. nice drinks but probably didn't kick off until later so we left for eley kishimoto's after party at a club on the 20th floor of some building. breathtaking views. sadly they stopped serving free booze shortly after our arrival so not a fab option here either....

...finally got to cafe de paris where PPQ held there after-hour. we may have been a little late as it had already died down quite a bit. with luella and erdem on early today people probably couldn't stay out too late...

...all in all, one of the more relaxing days i've had at fashion week so far. i'm working out a new routine where i can breeze through the day a bit more and be less hectic. if any of you have suggestions on how to approach this problem, please do come forward.

london fashion week: day 2
on day 2 i got up at noon which was a total achievement considering i only went to bed at 6am the previous night. collected my stuff and had a quick look into the main tent where i shot a few peeps with nice clothes on (see previous post). like this dude for example with the nice shoes/jeans...

4pm: basso&brooke were scheduled to show and they must have invited double as many people as could fit the venue which is why loads of people missed the show entirely...

...not me though. so i went around and took a few pictures of people as they settled down....

...the show featured a lot of colorful prints and flowers and had me wondering half the time if this fall/winter collection wasn't actually a summer one....

..hooked up with friends from berlin at basso&brooke and joined them back to the vauxhall fashion scount tent where we got the vip treatment in the media centre with relaxing music, wine, and wooden furniture. excellent stuff to regain energy for the rest of the night. ioannisdimitrousis was scheduled to show at 6.30 but was a bit delayed. below are two folks with cool hair attending his show....

loved the collection. lots of elegant chains, metallic fabrics and nipple slips. my kinda wardrobe...

.... designer hannah marshall (below left) had opted for a presentation rather than a catwalk show with the girls from ipso facto (cherish, below right) wearing them...

...not too many parties were on last night so we opted to head to the cuckoo club where qasimi held their after party. far too sweet drinks here so not an ideal option for the night...

....which is why we eventually grabbed a cab back to the east end, stumbled around for a minute and eventually shared a portion of fries...

end of day 2.

London Fashion Week: Day1
got up late due to long partying the night before. did my bit of blogging and left house for ashish show. got there late, barely made it inside when show had already started. afterwards went backstage to grab at least one shot of the collection but all the models had already changed. got one shot of the singer who performed during the show in one of the dresses of the collection. then hung out in front to get impressions of attending guests...

...back to the main tent where i struggled for 2 hours to get my internet working in the photographer's lounge. just when it was up and running the central saint martin's MA graduate show began. 14 amazing new design talents showed off their often pretty impressive collections. sexy tyson beckford introduced the show....

met leyla on my way home. buses werent running so we walked together and past a couple of trannies...

...went home, changed, grabbed dinner (a banana) and ran out the door to meet leyla and some others at the sang bleu magazine launch. no free drinks and extreme humidity were a good sign that this was not the right place to be...

...which is why we headed to Double Club where chloe sevigny had been announced to dj. half of east london was here so good fun with lots of friends. awesome music, too.

LONDON FASHION WEEK!
hey guys, tomorrow is the first day of london fashion week and i'm psyched as i will officially be photo-reporting from the shows and the parties for Qvest magazine, Viceland.com and Nerve.com. obviously also for you guys here on glamcanyon so tune in every day for news and updates, i think it'll get steamy!
to crown and finalize london fashion week Glamcanyon will hold a fabulous party on Tuesday, february 24th! The flyer is below, please RSVP to rsvpglamcanyon@gmail.com if you'd like to come.

berlin fashion week closing
after picking up my home girl elizafoxxx from her dj-set at white noise, we moved on to the blank magazine and kilian kerner after party which had been shut down from the police but still had some beers left. with those in hand we grabbed a cab and drove, through the snow, to .bhc which hosted ...come together, fashion week's closing party co-hosted by fabulous projektgalerie. all the evidence is below.
