paris fashion week: opening ceremony party
last night's party by NYC concept store opening ceremony at le regine was studded with stars from the fashion industry from london and new york. milla jovovic, andre j, henry holland, kate lanphear, jonny makeup and probably a ton more whose name i just don't know. good times.

later on we checked le baron where some designer had held a party but it was dying down when we got here so just a few snaps of interesting outfits.
octavia from london just below told me how the holes in her leggins came about: earlier that night she hung out with ponthier (spell?), a designer for Acne, who tore the holes into her AA leggins with a corkscrew. nice one.

paris fashion week: at Ann Demeulemeester
yesterday Ann Demeulemeester presented her inspired women's pret-a-porter collection which was in line with the men's show i saw in january. edwardian style jackets and boots were presented by bony/ sad looking models with feathers in their hair. like modern-day cinderellas the girls strode down the runway to slightly depressing but very appropriate music.
modeling in this show was the young gentleman below - Axel Miraton - who some of you may remember from this popular post. Axel has been doing several shows in both london and paris and if you look closely you can spot him in a number of my runway photos from both fashion weeks.

paris fashion week: Issey Miyake
like last season, the house of issey miyake delivered not only a wearable and down to earth collection but also a great show. inspired by japanese martial arts the runway was not only graced with models but also atheletes who performed an impressive karate routine with lots of screams and shadow-boxing. among the front-rowers was the wonderful beth ditto. love her lots.

last night Jalouse magazine repeated what was so successful last season and threw a party at Le Regine. although this time the Olson twins, Busy P and Justice were not spotted it was still a good fun party.

paris arrival + under the influence magazine
after a freezing cold first day crowned by the slight dissapointment of finding nothing but a video at the gareth pugh show (i had really been looking forward to seeing this one, more than any other) i had a wonderful start into paris fashion week. not just because day 2 held more sun and my reunion with a few old friends. as i strolled into kiliwatch (a cool store near metro etienne marcel seliing vintage, jeans, magazines and more) it had piles of Under The Influence magazine on display for which I shot the cover! more of the appendent editorial can be seen inside the mag or here on my website.
if you woul like to purchase a magazine (or just have a look inside), check the magazine's website for stockists.
