thank you for being normal

last night PONYSTEP threw yet another mad cool party full of glamourous fun! it hosted alexander mcqueen, henry holland, boy george and lots of other fabulous people whose names i know but would not recognize if they slapped me in the face. it was also the night designated to pity the departure of one of london's most loved children Gareth Pugh. gorgeous Cozette below wears one of his outlandishly cool creations.

"i carried a watermelon"

trendspotting: i suggest you get a pair of those shoes now before everyone else does.

ladies and gentlemen, i give you.....

...the cast of the sony rolly video (previous post). as some people asked me about the who's who of the people in the film i thoght i'd give a little run-down on what everybody does in real life. since this was a no-budget project everyone particpated just for the hell of it which is probably why we had so much fun in the end. well that and the bucket of pimm's i had prepared.

this is suzie g, or as i like to call her - the bomb! this girl's moves were homegrown in philly, pennsylvania, where she's originally from. suzie is also part of the street fashion possy with her blog click/clash

adam is only sweet 18 but is strutting his stuff like a big girl. believe me, i tried walking in those margiela shoes and it was not happening. (facebook name: adam a la folie)

dominic, a true bohemian and one of my favorite non-model models on the block.
www.myspace.com/dominic_m

miss katja koggelmann not only has the most amusing last name, she is also my cherished housemate. she got pregnant with a pillow especially for this shoot. she went into labour later that day. both mother and pillow are well off.

meghan clancy here is originally from canada. she was kind enough to help me out with the shoot after i had only met her days before at a club. she's an actress - how conveniant.

rowan hand not only has the name of a potential comic caracter, he also dressed up like one for this project, or don't you think that he looks very dick tracy? love his dance moves, i think he should get those patented.

pelin is a lovely singer/songwriter from berlin who's moved to london around the same time as i have. check out her myspace.

tadaa!!

today I am most delighted to present to you my video debut. in a moment of madness someone thought it would be a good idea to hand me a camera and the new Sony Rolly asking me to run with it. and so i ran. to the phone, calling up my most cameraphile friends who you see rocking the sidewalk of lovely mortimer road which i happen to inhabit. the song they're dancing to is 'Dischoe' by awesome swedish girl band Those Dancing Days

let me know what you think about my first ever video (without being too critical though, this filmmaker is still a bit shakey on the legs)

london tube epiphanies

yesterday on the tube, as i was reading my loneley planet south india travel guide, i suddenly had an epiphany. now if you know me well, you know i average out on 3 epiphanies a day but i think i'll stay at it with this one. for a while i've been planning to spend a month traveling in india later this year but now i think instead of backpacking along the beaten track i'll rather just stick around mumbai to do a documentary on the scene kids there. find out what it's like to be young and free-spirited in the midst of the planet's 2nd largest 3rd world country. should anyone be interested in tagging along or sponsoring this fabulous project get in touch.

this guy i photographed in chelsea only minutes after my inspired idea entered my thoughts.

i bet you look good with your hair down

here's a proper look at some of the outfits i spotted at faction the other night. worth noting: surprisingly i saw a lot of small flower print - click on picture 2 and 6 for closer inspection.

faction - a group of people connected by a shared belief or opinion within a larger group

last night i finally got to check out faction at visions (in dalston), a night i'd heard a lot of good things about and never had time to go to. yesterday that changed and what can i say - it's all true. faction is officially my new favorite night in london. if you want rockstars, fashion folk, arty tpes - this is the place. some amazing new bands play here like last night's Zombie Zombie (Herman Dune member Neman's new project) and Factory Floor who drew audiences including members of the teenagers, the horrors and htrk. the dj's were fabulous, providing for some good ol' shake-a-leg and everyone had an excellent time of unpretentious fun.

gala

yesterday i had the pleasure to shoot with the beautiful miss gala gonzalez who was modeling for a shoe ad i'm working on. no shoes for you today but a wonderful smile.

K-Y-M

i shot kim for nylon the other day. he's a photographer but also works as a dj, fashion coordinator for drama magazine, stylist, casting agent and a million other things i can not remember. he knows a lot about matching a fab jacket with some killer boots.

school's out for summer

there' a lot going on in this outfit but i still really like it. pink socks to stripey cardi - yes, please.

something about blue

i don't know what it is about dark blue that is so attractive but it's probably my favorite color when it comes to clothes. i have a lot of dresses and jackets in that tone that i love and i think the two gentlemen below couldn't look any better. especially the first look conveying a modern day james dean sends me dreaming. i forgot his name but he works at start on rivington which is where you can find pants like that.
